Job No: 495734
Work Type: Full time
The National Archives collection has over 1 million records documenting the service of Australian men and women during World War II (WWII). Over the past 15 years, the Archives have digitised more than 200,000 of these records and made them available to view online. In April 2019, the Australian Government announced $10 million of funding to help us digitise the remaining 850,000 WWII service records over 4 years.
A project team has been established within the Collection Management Branch to digitise service records in the four main Army (B883, B884) and Air Force (A9300, A9301) series, and make them freely accessible online to all Australians wherever they live. As Quality Assurance Officer your main role will be to undertake quality assurance on digitised images, and load images to the Archives RecordSearch database to enable public access.
Non-ongoing specified task for 3 years with the possibility of extension.
