National Archives has established the Philanthropic Partnership program to oversee, coordinate and support a suite of preservation, digitisation and digital projects that will extend National Archives’ capability to secure the collection and connect with audiences in new and innovative ways.

The position will be responsible for carrying out basic level preservation to support digitisation projects and partnerships. The role requires a knowledge of, or experience with, the conservation, handling and management of archival collection records. An excellent attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work in a team.

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications, membership or eligibility for membership of relevant professional associations or evidence of skills and experience in heritage materials conservation and preservation practices relevant to the role.

Eligibility:  Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Baseline Level.
