The Finance and Procurement section is responsible for the provision of high quality, timely and accurate financial and procurement advice and services to the National Archives while ensuring it meets its legislative and regulatory obligations.

Under broad direction, the Financial Operations team leader will lead and supervise a Financial Operations team to deliver high-quality accounts, banking, and compliance services, including BAS/TPAR, audits, and stakeholder support. Drive team performance, ensure strong controls and accuracy, and lead continuous improvement while building capability and maintaining compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar financial operations or accounting role
  • Proven experience preparing BAS and TPAR
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping is highly desirable
  • Significant experience with TechnologyOne and CBMS or demonstrated ability to quickly gain system proficiency is highly desirable

Location: The primary location is at ACT Parkes office. Other locations may be considered.

Eligibility:  Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Baseline Level.
