The National Archives of Australia is seeking an enthusiastic archival officer to undertake a broad range of archival duties in the Queensland Office.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively as part of a small team to manage and provide access to the National Archives’ collection. To be effective in the role, the successful candidate will have good communications and customer engagement skills; the ability to undertake a range of tasks of varying complexity; good time and task management skills; research skills; the ability to appropriately apply legislation, policies and procedures to specific cases; the capacity to undertake the physical requirements of the position (e.g. records handling); and be a team player. They will also need to be able to effectively 'hit the ground running' in the role. 

Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications (or significant progress towards completion) and/or experience working with an archival or cultural heritage collection is desirable.

Eligibility:  Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Baseline Level.
