About the role
National Archives has established the Philanthropic Partnership program to oversee, coordinate and support a suite of preservation, digitisation and digital projects that will extend National Archives’ capability to secure the collection and connect with audiences in new and innovative ways.
National Archives is looking to engage a person with a sharp business mind and proven ability to manage and implement the Philanthropic Partnership program. As a natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimise productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
The key duties of the position include:
- Work closely with program sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Manage program and project teams to ensure program goals are reached within optimal return on investment and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
- Develop and manage budget for program and projects and be accountable for delivering against established goals/objectives
- Work with other program and project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the agency
- Analyse, evaluate, and manage program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders
Required skills and qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in a management role, preferably in program management
- Highly developed skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organisation
- Experience in managing stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
- Experience in writing of proposals, committee submissions, and reporting
Eligibility
To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen. If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.
