National Archives is seeking a Director to lead the section responsible for preservation of National Archives' analogue collection.

The Director Preservation is responsible for the management and preservation of the National Archives’ analogue collection. This position provides national leadership and strategic advice on the preservation of the collection and oversees work to preserve records at risk of loss or deterioration, through preventative preservation strategies, conservation treatments and preservation digitisation processes. 

The position requires proven leadership capability and a strong strategic focus, the capacity to build and sustain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and the ability to identify priorities, pursue innovative approaches and achieve results.

Qualifications: Appropriate qualifications or experience in the preservation and/or management of archival collections are essential.

Eligibility:  Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to NV1 Level.
