The Information Governance area of the National Archives of Australia is led by the National Archives’ Chief Information Governance Officer (CIGO) who is responsible for the implementation of the framework governing the management of information and data assets across the organisation. The work involves establishing and implementing frameworks, policies, processes and responsibilities within the National Archives in relation to creation, management and use of information assets to enable business areas to meet their regulatory, legal, risk and operational requirements. The goal of the Information Governance section is to continuously improve agency-wide information governance processes and foster a culture of accountable and business-focused management of information assets.

The Information Governance section is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Information Governance officer to assist the team in meeting whole of government information and data governance requirements as an exemplar agency. This is a great opportunity to build on your strong knowledge of and experience in information and data governance and to work for the lead agency in the information governance field.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Baseline.
