Senior Archival Officer - APS Level 5 (Ongoing)

National Network Coordination is responsible for the strategic and operational implementation of the National Archives’ physical presence and statutory functions across a network of state and territory offices in Australia. This includes collection management, archival services, access, public engagement, digitisation and relevant state and territory stakeholder management responsibilities.

The Senior Archival Officer is responsible for supervising a small team delivering reference, access, lending, digitisation, description, transfers and storage services. In this role, you will monitor work progress to meet service standards and ensure team members follow current policies and practices. You will provide advice, support and assistance to staff and external stakeholders, undertake and manage projects and contribute to the development of relevant guidelines and procedures. You will also assist with complex reference and access cases, and promote the National Archives’ presence in Western Australia.

 

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1.
