The Collection Management Branch is responsible for transferring, securing, digitising and storing highly significant government archival records from Australian Government agencies. This work supports the development of the national archival collection so it is preserved and remains accessible for future generations.

The Storage and Transfers officer will work as part of a team delivering effective storage related services and projects. The position is responsible for monitoring, undertaking and reporting on activities related to the movement, control, data-entry, digitisation and storage of the archival records of the Commonwealth.  The Storage and Transfers officer is also responsible for providing statistics, applying knowledge and understanding of archival principles to ensure records are appropriately housed and storage capacity is used efficiently.  This position liaises with internal and external clients to maintain standards of service.

 

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Negative vetting Level 1.
