The Archives is seeking an experienced Executive level employee for the Director People Management and Development position. The successful candidate will have experience in a leadership capacity across a range of human resource functions delivering outcomes at the whole of organisational level, have successfully managed a team of staff and section budget and have personal drive, initiative, resilience, and strong communication and decision making skills.
The Archives is particularly looking for experience in the delivery of strategic people management policy and planning outcomes including workplace relations (negotiating enterprise agreements, and resolving workplace relation and performance matters, including managing any associated processes), organisational culture, workforce planning, and learning and development. Relevant experience in the oversight of accurate and timely recruitment, payroll services and the provision of conditions of service advice is also desirable.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens to be eligible for employment at the National Archives of Australia. The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline Level. The preferred applicant must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
